RAWALPINDI MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION

After their forcible and brutal expulsion from Sudetenland, the distraught refugees arriving in West Germany promptly established “Sudetenlandbund”, an association less for social functions but more for exerting pressure on their government to demand suitable compensation for their losses. They were never reconciled to the surrender of territory, either.

Now spare a thought for all those big cities, regions and areas of Pakistan and BOGUSdesh.

Do you spot a similar Association of the HINDUS from the former territories surrendered to Islam?

We located a "POTHOHAR BIRADRI" in London.

But our joy turned to gloom when we saw that, without guts to recall their ignoble disappearance from Rawalpindi, they get together at functions where the men show off their expensive limousines and the women talk about saris, diamonds and jewellery.

The Sikh embraces the Musalman and the Hindu recites romantic poetry in Urdu to entertain them both.

After “good time” they go home, very satisfied.

Do their children know where Pothohar is?

===============

If you know of any “biradri” formed to recall the "Day of the Hindu" in-

Karachi,

Hyderabad,

Sukkur,

Quetta,

Multan,

Lahore,

Gujranwala,

Jehlum,

Sialkot,

Peshawar,

Dhaka,

Sylhet,

Chittagong, or

North Kashmir,

then please tell us about it.

And, any idea what they talk about, or is it only a social and cultural affair where men enjoy a “large double” of whisky and the women eat burfi, laddoo and pakora, speaking highly of Soniaji’s sari, Priyenkaji’s hair style and Rahulji’s prospect of choosing a native “Beebee” (Bharat-Born) beauty?
