At some point we must learn that having over 150 million (SEPARATIST/MISCHIEVOUS) muslims (DESPITE PARTITION), we just cannot ignore them or hate them. Our answer lies in assimilating them, thus preventing the destruction of India.
Pakistan can afford to be a religious state. They have wisely depleted their hindu minorities to a scant few, too few to cause any trouble.
We, on the other hand, have to work differently. Recently US put India along side with Pakistan as a country of "concern", where minorities and religious freedom is violated. This happened due to Gujrat riots (irrespective of who was at fault).
Tremendous publicity of events in India, due to our open democratic nature, any foreign reporter or documentary maker has a free reign and our Indian Sahibs -the english media and journalists. India is no more important to US. Pak is important and the US have just leased 94000 acres for a base there.
US is going to supply arms to Pak. This was recently announced by US.
So where is India? On her own again, she is never able to capitalize, her policy makers are naive and her PR is non existent.
We preach too much and we have acted as a Nanny of the world. We have set out to "ennoble" the world while back home our temples are either dilapidated or lie in ruins. No one takes us seriously, we have no friends and in politics all countries act based on self interests.
We need to become important. We brag about our great potential. All forecasts into the future are great but very little has actually been materialized.
Recently eight major power producing corporations left India because they got tired of having to wait many years for clearances and permits.
It is now very understandable why the United States likes and the others like China and Pakistan. Because under dictatorship things can get done faster. So why do we always feel we deserve attention- just because we have democracy? We are secular? Or, We have a large population? Or, because of our great past?

THAT "GREAT PAST" (SEE ABOVE) WAS THE THOUSAND YEARS OF SLAVERY AND UTMOST DEGRADATION. FIRST EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS UNDER THE terrible and hated ANCESTORS OF THE TALIBAN, AND THE LATER 200 YEARS UNDER THE GUNS OF BRITAIN.
If that is the past, the future must be the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF HINDUSTAN.
