.........The Minority Situation in Bangladesh
Dhaka, Bangladesh: Bangladesh's Muslim hate groups are actively working in a fashion similar to the Nazis in Germany or the Fascists in Italy in pre-World War II, where persons belonging to the minority communities were eliminated and/or enslaved and liberal Muslims and women are marginalized.
Incidents of the ongoing persecution of the religious and ethnic minorities in Bangladesh by state sponsored and privste hate groups reported by Mayer Dak correspondents based there, are listed below: -
( 1 ) 12th January 2003, at the Mukundopur village of the Kaligunge sub-district of the Satkhira district Muslim fundamentalists attacked the house of the following Hindus: Ramprasad Debnath, Amit Debnath, Madan Ghosh, Sadhan Ghosh and Santosh Biswas. Their properties that costed more than Tk 500,000 (U.S. $10,000) were looted by them. Ten people were seriously injured. Their slogans indicated that they were staunch supporter of the international Taliban movement.
( 2 ) 13th January 2003, at the Maijidi market of the Noakhali district Islamic extremists attacked the shop of Bipul Debnath, a Hindu resident and looted valuable things worth more than Tk 300,000 (U.S. $6,000).
( 3 ) 12th January 2003, at the Dhaka district near Tangi sub-district at the Arichpur village armed Muslim terrorists looted twenty-five thousand takas and certain amount of gold ornaments from the residence of Hindu resident Dinesh Chandra.

( 4 ) 19th January 2003, at the Bandarban district town, from the side of the Shankha river a tribal boy named Khoainu Marg Marma (28) was found dead. He was a Buddhist, whose dead-body was discovered by the police. On 18th January a group of right wing Islamic terrorists kidnapped him and murdered him mercilessly.
( 5 ) 16th January 2003, at the district town of Bagura, Gopal Chandra (28) who is the son of Sanat Chandra was kidnapped by a group of Islamic supremacists and murdered. Gopal Chandra was a bus driver who was stabbed mercilessly by the hate group.
( 6 ) 12th January 2003, at the Lalpur sub-district of Natore near the Bamon village, a Hindu doctor named Anup Kumar was forced to give 3.7 million takas (U.S. 470,000) to a Muslim fanatic group. He had to sign a judicial stamp paper. Muslim terrorist Aji-jur Rehman, a known HIndu baiter was the gang leader who tortured the innocent doctor.
( 7 ) 15th January 2003, at the Paba sub-district of Rajshahi, near Sonaikandi border region Bangladeshi authorities discovered a statue of a Hindu Goddess. At present the statues's valuation in the market is more than two lakh takas (U.S. $4,000). It deserves special mantion that the statue was being smuggled through the India-Bangladesh border.
( 8 ) 11th January 2003, at the Bow-bazar area of the Tangi sub-district of Dhaka a Hindu girl named Shila Burman (14) comitted suicide by jumping into the fire. She wanted to protect and save herself as a group of right Islamic extremists approached to rape her.
( 9 ) 9th January 2003, at the Ahmedpur village of the Boraigram sub-district of Natore, Hindu businessmen Ranjit Kundu was forced to pay fifty thousand takas (U.S. $1,000) as Zizia tax (Infidel proteion tax for non-believers) to a Muslim reactionary hate group. But, Ranjit Kundu was not able to pay the full amount and was mercilessly beaten up by the fundamentalists. At present he is under treatment.
( 10 ) 9th January 2003, at the Savar municipal area of Dhaka district, Biswanath Karmakar, Bholanath, Gayanath & Shivnath Karmakar, all Hindus of the Uttarpara area were attacked by Islamic fanatics. They looted more than five lakh takas(U.S. $10,000) from their house.
