.....Who can render advice/assistance on the following:
Millions of Indians suffered untold suffering and losses due to Partition in 1947.
The Indian leaders in those days, who accepted Partition on behalf of the nation, accepted partition of their motherland without referendum, without realising the dire consequences for all the people who had once lived there for centuries.
They also failed to realise the implications of their decision for the future generations to come. In fact as a result there will always be a conflict between India and an artificial country created called Pakistan for the rest our their lives. In fact they betrayed those Indians who did not want to be uprooted and were force to leave their homes and loved one against their wishes.
One can well imagine the type of "idiots" who accepted the division of the country which had been one for centuries to realise their ambitions of becoming Ministers and Prime Minister.
Could anyone file a case against the British Government in the European Court for Human Rights of for dividing the country without a referendum?
As a colonial power it was their duty to leave the country, as they had found it, intact.
Also a similar case against the families of Nehru and Gandhi for compensation against their unilateral decisions which led to bloodshed.
We urge the nationalist leaders to seriously explore these ideas and sue the British Government for 100 million pounds damages for loss of millions of Hindus' ancestral homes, and the untold suffering all went through as a result of no fault of them.
