.........................FIJIAN APOLOGY

Much media coverage is given today, Friday, 14 November 2003, to the Fijians tendering a PUBLIC apology for the murder of Thomas Baker, a missionary in 1867 who came UNINVITED to convert the natives and wipe our their NATIVE civilisation and way of life considering it to be undesirable, erroneous and inferior. (The missionaries in our India, including those working assiduously day and night to convert the natives even in holy cities like Mathura, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Amritsar believe the SAME.)
Today’s descendants of those WARRIOR Fijians, then presumably HINDUS who held the cow sacred, meekly wept and cried and begged for the Curse of Christ to be lifted so that prosperity could return to the island.
The descendants of the deceased missionary were there to be received by the crestfallen apologetic Fijian chiefs like Lords and Ladies of High Order, and they were condescending.
The Fijians trekked from distant villages on foot and horseback to witness the forgiveness ceremony, which was also attended by Fiji’s prime minister, Laisenia Qarase who flew in by helicopter. Bare-chested men clapped and sang beneath the fierce tropical sun, while a pig wrapped in palm leaves was roasted in the visitors’ honour.
A freshly slaughtered cow was offered as compensation. The cow being sacred to their Hindu ancestors, had to be slaughtered to rub the point of subjugation, degradation and conversion home.
We suppose a fateful date has also been set aside by Destiny for the Hindus of PARTITIONED India, who cried “AKHAND BHARAT AMAR RAHE!” while resisting the demand of the Muslims in 1947 to hoist their ISLAMIC flag over the whole of Punjab, Kashmir and Bengal.
Obviously, another cow will be slaughtered to appease the descendants of Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy or Liaqat Ali Khan if Mohammed Ali JINN and his sister Fatima did not leave any heir behind to receive the apology.
But pigs would be spared. They will fall upon their knees and offer prayers to Lord for giving them birth as pigs for NO Mohammedan warrior will advance to chop a pig’s head off. Even its shadow is considered filthy.
Only the cows will witness the Wrath of Allah. (Didn’t someone say, “the Muslims found cows only in India and started killing them to rub home the point on the Hindus, there being NO cows in Arabia that the starving Meccans could kill, roast and eat.)
What would the scene be like at Rashtrapati Bhawan on that fateful Day of Apology?
