Sadly, there is very little that non-Muslims can do to help the debate along. All change must come from within the community and it must come from a basic recognition that it is time to move into the 21st Century.

COMMENT BY A HINDU SURVIVOR OF HOLOCAUST OF 1947:
Quite NAIVE to say to them, "It is time to move into 21st century."
In 1940's our leaders were shouting hoarse, "It is time to step out of 7th century to come into Enlightened Post-War 20th Century AD."
They gave us PARTITION that took away TWO MILLION Hindu souls and one third of India, too.
The issue at the core is, IF the incorrigible Muslims do not step out of 7th Century AD under the burden of "Killer" Koran and Fear of Fatwa, What is left for the Hindus? YET ANOTHER SURRENDER?
I am afraid, NO Hindu organisation is in a position to discuss this, even behind HERMETICALLY CLOSED doors in our Partitioned India under Abdul Kalam.
We do need to address the issue, though. It is vital for the survival of the appeasing Hindus in WEST Bengal and SOUTH Kashmir, and of the sleeping Sikhs in EAST Punjab..
