Ahmadiyya Jamaat Yearly Jalsa at Qadian //// Asalaam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakathahu.//// (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.) //// The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is conducting its 114th annual congregation “Jalsa Salaana” at Qadian, Punjab, India on the 26th, 27th and 28th of December 2005. Thousands of Ahmadi Muslims from all over the world will be attending this Jalsa. The present spiritual head of the world wide Ahmadiyya Community, Hazrath Mirza Mashroor Ahmed Saheb, Khalifatul Messiah V will be blessing the occasion with his presence. //// The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, spread in over 186 countries of the world with a following of more than 200 million, was established under the Devine guidance by Hazrath Mirza Ghulam Ahmed A.S. (1835-1908), who claimed to be the expected reformer of the later days, the “Awaited One” of the world’s community of religions (The Mahdi and Messiah). The purpose of his “Mission” was to rejuvenate Islamic moral and spiritual values as preached and practiced by the Holy Prophet of Islam s.a.w.s. Ahmadiyya Jamaat encourages inter-faith dialogue and diligently defends Islam’s basic teachings of Peace, tolerance, love, universal brotherhood and understanding among the followers of different faiths. It strongly rejects violence and terrorism in any form and for any reason.//// The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community follows the Islamic dictum of “Huqooqullah” (Worship in Allah) & “Huqooqulibad” (Serving the people) and accordingly while fulfilling its religious and spiritual obligations is also engaged in humanitarian services all over the world. The Ahmadiyya Community, under its banner “Humanity First” has served the cause of humanity on every occasion of natural disasters like the recent Tsunami in the countries surrounding the Indian Ocean, earth quakes in the south Asian countries and hurricane Katrina in the USA, by providing medical aids, food relief and other needful services. //// Despite being persecuted in some countries and the un-Islamic declaration as non-Muslims by certain groups of fanatic bigots, the Ahmadiyya Movement is today, by the shear grace of Allah, the most dynamic denomination of Islam in modern history. It is an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam, peace, universal brotherhood and submission to the Will of God in its pristine purity. //// From its humble beginning more than 115 years ago, in a remote village of Qadian, Punjab, it has grown by leaps and bounds and spread to the corners of the world in fulfillment of the prophecies of Hazrath Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Saheb, where Allah the exalted assured him “I shall cause thy message to reach the corners of the world”. He further prophesied “I have come to sow the seed and it shall now grow and bear fruits and will encompass the whole world and there is none who can retard its progress”.
