Sonia, Karunanidhi to be impleaded in spectrum scam: Swamy\\\\\\\\\\\ Ahmedabad, Dec 30 : Janata Party President Subramaniam Swamy has indicated that he was planning to implead Congress President Sonia Gandhi and DMK chief M Karunanidhi in the 2G spectrum scam case, if government failed to take tangible action in the kickback charge by January 15. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\ ''Going by the current rate of 35 per cent kickback in New Delhi, a whopping Rs 60,000 crore could have been received by the beneficiaries in the scam presided over by then telecom minister A Raja,'' Dr Swamy said in a lecture on ''Is corruption a No 1 issue,'' organised by RSS outfit Bharatiya Vichar Manch here last night. \\\\\\\\\\\\\ Reeling out figures, Dr Swamy alleged that Ms Gandhi received a lions share of Rs 36,000 crore, forming 60 per cent of alleged kickback, whereas Mr Karunanidhi's share touched Rs 18,000 crore (30 per cent) and of A Raja Rs 6,000 crore (10 per cent) in the scam of Rs 1,76,000 crore, as speculated by the CAG.\\\\\\\\\\ Mr Swamy said he had named A Raja only in the court case on the 2G Spectrum scam at that point of time but will add two more names that of Mr Karunanidhi and Ms Gandhi''. \\\\\\\\\\\\ Stating that billions of rupees scam has compromised national security, he alleged that two companies which have been issued licences in the scam have connections with forces that can harm national security. He said one company has connection with Dubai-based underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and another company has connections with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. \\\\\\\\\\\\ He said even countries like US are not ready to allow foreign companies in the telecom sector. \\\\\\\\\\ The Home Ministry had even objected to abovesaid two companies getting the 2G spectrum licences, he added. \\\\\\\\\\\ Dr Swamy said though Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was aware about the Home Ministry objections and other details he could not prevail upon Raja to change his decision to issue licence to such companies. \\\\\\\\\ 000000000
