Tatra truck scam has exposed government. In an interview with editor in chief of Chauthi Duniya Santosh Bhartiya, Army Chief General V.K Singh has lifted the lid on corruption in the army. In response to Army chief the defense minister AK Antony corroborated Army Chief Gen V.K Singh’s claim that he was informed by the Army Chief about the alleged bribe offered by Lt General (retd) Tejinder Singh, he also told him that he didn’t want to pursue the matter further when asked to take action. Antony further added that Gen Singh did not file a written complaint upon which action could be taken. However this certainly evokes a question why did he fail to provide complete information in parliament that he received complaints of Tatra Truck even before General VK Singh. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ H. Hanumanthappa is a leader of Congress. He divulged few names who are involved in scam. Sonia Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Defense Minister A.K Antony and several other prominent Congress leaders. According to Dr H. Hanumanthappa, he met Sonia Gandhi and A.K Antony and apprised them of misappropriation in purchasing of Tatra trucks. In the year 2009, according to H. Hanumanthappa, President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Defense Minister A.K Antony were aware of the scam. He also wrote a letter to Ghulam Nabi Azad and Verappa Moily.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Moreover, according to H. Hanumanthappa, till date he does not know what step has been taken by government. He also sent a report to Assistant General Manager S.N Ashok of BEML. Now it is said that A.K Antony gave orders of investigation after getting this information. But why did AK Antony fail to inform in parliament that investigation is going on. Indeed AK Antony has come under dock as General VK Singh has highlighted this matter.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ It is significant to be aware of the fact that who has the responsibility of purchasing defense equipment and trucks. Certainly, the responsibility lies with defense ministry. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ When the controversy of General VK Singh’s interview spread like fire in media, a letter written to Prime minister was leaked. Then the question is who leaked the letter of General VK Singh. Is this deal a scam? \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ A section of media also suspected that the leak of Army Chief Gen VK Singh’s letter to the Prime Minister has come from chief’s camp. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Significantly, Supreme Court has not given its verdict on General VK Singh’s age row controversy. This is why the controversy is still on and defense ministry is not able to take any decision. The defense ministry has not send retirement letter of General VK Singh to Army head quarter as it is not able to decide what date should be mentioned in the letter. As per the sources the letter prepared mentioned year 1951. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ The problem of defense ministry is that in documents of Adjutant branch his DOB is 10th of May 1951. It is pivotal to learn here that adjutant branch keeps the record of military documents and records of military officials. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Now it is the time Prime Minister should answer all questions of General VK Singh. The infelicity lies in bitter truth that our country is running through tough times as on one hand is an honest general of Army and on the other is government, political parties and all the leaders who are encouraging corruption. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ To weed out corruption it is necessary to unite first and come above the trivial issues to see a broader picture. =================== 000000000
