THE FACT IS that many of the ministers, at central and state level (From what I know, though I have known some exceptions also who have been truly men of integrity and character) their sons, and other people holding patronage and power, desperately yearn to convert their power into cash. This has been going on right since after few years of independence. But the extent of this organised, fearless, hand-in-glove corruption became almost a way of life, open and unabashed, predominantly since the time of Rajiv Gandhi (when Vishwa Nath Pratap Singh noticed it and was elbowed out). It is being widely recognised that the Indian media is too scared or sold out when it comes to criticising the Sonia Gandhi family who are well entrenched into echelons of power.. It is also being appreciated worldwide now that the INDIAN PEOPLE can produce honest leaders to oppose this corruption as it has started happening now.
