The problem of disrespect to Army started from our 1st PM Pandit(?) Jawaharlal Nehru.
When Field Marshall K.M. Cariappa (Link provided) went to PM to ask for Modernisation of Indian Army after Independence Mr. Nehru replied to him that we do not need any Army now Indian Police is more than enough to look after the law and order of the Nation. What a vision of the National Leader?
Our PM had to face the music in 1962 and send our Army to China Border in bitter cold to die of cold and not the bullets.( There are several books written on this debacle)
Some of our Jawan’s were captured by Pakistani Army during Kargil conflict live their EARS, NOSE AND PRIVATE PARTS WERE CUT BEFORE DEATH ( Ante-mortum injuries noted by our Pathologists) and were handed over to India. What a shame that we do not respect our fallen soldiers BUT our Media gave prominence to the release of Sanjay Dutt from Jail and not the brutal killing of our Army General.
Shame on Indian Media.
