BJP MUST CALL OFF ITS UNEQUAL WEDLOCK WITH PDP
Press Brief released during the press conference addressed by Dr. Ajay Chrungoo Chairman Panun Kashmir, Sh. Vijay Raina President Kashmir Samiti Delhi, Dr. Shakti Bhan Vice Chairman Panun Kashmir and Dr. S S Toshkhani at Delhi on Friday, 13th march,2015.
All of us are baffled and unable to understand as to why, after being betrayed by J&K Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) all through the entire process of government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cannot muster the wisdom and courage to come out of such an inequitable and humiliating arrangement.
TALAAK, TALAAK, TALAAK - UNEQUAL BJP-PDP WEDLOCK
The sequence of events unleashed by the PDP, right from the beginning of the government formation, and immediately thereafter, has left nobody in doubt about the objectives that the PDP wishes to pursue.
MODI’S ENTRY IN TO PDP TRAP PROMOTES NEXT INTIFADA
As its primary objective, the PDP has used the process of government formation, and also its aftermath, to undermine the credibility of the Prime Minister of India as an inspiring symbol of pan Indian leadership. Shockingly, the Prime Minister seems to have, willingly or unwittingly, walked into this snare. The second objective, evident from the PDP machinations, seems to be to set a fertile ground for the next round of Intifada Rebellion in the valley so that it can bring its pro separatist formulations of shared sovereignty, porous borders and joint control to the point of fruitition.
BJP-PDP ALLIANCE AGENDA WILL LIQUIDATE DEMOCRACY & SECULARISM
The entire document of the Agenda for Alliance (AfA) in Jammu and Kashmir is, unmistakably, leading towards the separatist track known as Self-Rule. Only a miserably naïve mind can believe that the BJP can sustain its relationship with the PDP and yet continue as a patriotic force of change in this country. Panun Kashmir has no doubt that the role of the PDP, with the political philosophy it represents, is neither complimentary to the unity of the State of Jammu and Kashmir with the Indian Union nor in consonance with the Indian commitment to secularism and democracy.
ALLIANCE PROCESS CONFIRMED PAK. & SEPARATISTS FACTORS IN GOVT. FORMATION.
Panun Kashmir wants to state it unambiguously that the process which the BJP has pursued towards forming a ruling alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, has, for the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir after its accession to India, given an impression that a sanction from Pakistan is a prerequisite for the government formation in the state. This is an inescapable conclusion because the prime condition laid down by the PDP to form an alliance with the BJP was to start a dialogue with Pakistan and the separatists.
J&K AS ISLAMIC & SEPARATE ENTITY RECOGNIZED
GOVT. TO BECOME RIGHT ARM OF JIHAND WOULD BE SUICIDAL
Another perfidy which has been unleashed on the nation during the making of the government in Jammu and Kashmir is that for the first time soft separatism has been accorded credibility as a legitimate plank for the government formation in the State. The PDP’s proclaimed commitment to Self-Rule and the AfA are complimentary to each other. Last but not the least, the gratitude expressed towards Pakistan by Mufti Mohammad Sayed, immediately after taking oath as the Chief Minister, for allowing the successful conduct of elections, looked as if the Indian Prime Minister was being told that the PDP had an earlier understanding with the separatists and Pakistan, to allow the PDP to use the democratic space in Jammu and Kashmir to assume power.
SEPARATIST MOVEMENT A PART OF GLOBAL JIHAD
Panun Kashmir wants to beware the Government of India that the separatist movement in the valley is now a part of International Jihad and terrorism practiced by them is far from vanquished. Any adventure, howsoever well intended, can lead to disastrous consequences. Therefore, allowing the entire apparatus of a government to act as a support-structure for Jihad is suicidal.
Last, but not the least, Panun Kashmir wants to state unambiguously that the terms on which the new government is formed in the State has taken the communal hegemony in Jammu and Kashmir to a new height. It is manifest in the way the BJP and the PDP have shared ministries as well as allocated portfolios. Even though the share of the BJP in the election mandate has been almost equal to that of the PDP, yet it has agreed to a far lesser share of ministries and the concomitant important portfolios. This state of affairs is a blatant betrayal of the BJP’s commitment to correct regional imbalances.
DON’T SECRIFICE VITAL INTERESTS OF HINDUS, SIKHS & BUDDHISTS
Panun Kashmir wants to state it emphatically that the Hindus, the Sikhs and the Buddhists form almost a half of the population of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. No political party, in its misplaced zeal to come to an understanding with Pakistan and the separatists, is authorised by this half to trade on its vital interests. This is irrespective of their professed commitments to the cause of the Hindus, the Sikhs and the Buddhists.
INDIA DESERVES TO KNOW DETAILS OF BJP-PDP TRADE
Panun Kashmir demands that all the negotiations which the BJP has conducted with the PDP during the government formation should be made public. Panun Kashmir also takes note of the fact that in its expositions in the Parliament, the BJP leaders have claimed that one of the reasons for the government formation has been the search for reconciliation. We ask of the BJP leaders to take the people of India into confidence about the contours and content of this reconciliation.
