What has always amazed me is that when Mohammed Ali Jinnah demanded Pakistan, our own top barrister-at-law MK Gandhi did not react instantly to say, "That amounts to High Treason for which the punishment is death!"
The ONLY reason to my mind is that Gandhi himself did not think our Hindusthan was worth two pence or worth defending or worth fighting for and our people (Hindus and Sikhs) were anything but the dumb cattle meant for abattoir. Subsequently Mr Gandhi, our TOP leader and revered as "Mahatma", even forgot to suggest a single condition, or Referendum!
Finally, if NONE shouted, "High Treason!" then, what is stopping a patriot to register the case against Mr Jinnah even now IF CHARGE OF HIGH TREASON IS NOT TIME BARRED? Justice will be seen to be done at last.
I shall be interested to hear your esteemed views.
