REASON TO CELEBRATE OR TO FEEL SHAME?
How happy were the Sikhs on the day Pakistan announced free access to pilgrims going to the holy historic gurdwara at Kartarpur! Their motive seems to be the money that the rich pilgrims will bring to starving Pakistanis rather than respect for the LAST genuine "Messenger of God" who preached love for ALL mankind on earth unlike the one who divided people between "Momins" and "Kafirs" and exhorted his followers to subjugate, convert or kill the latter! We know the death and destruction caused on earth (including the "mutilation" of India, i.e., “Akhand Bharat”, in 1947) by the followers of the one who was born in Mecca.
The gurdwara at Kartarpur Sahib is just 3 km away from the “bogus” Nehruvian border of India that now runs past Wagah in the middle of Punjab. In Pakistan India is still portrayed as Evil for not surrendering the Rest of Kashmir, too, to Pakistan, and for not surrendering the Rest of India, too, to recreate the old Mogul Empire. They are busy increasing their numbers for a future "Partition" to complete the job.
In 1947 Kartarpur could easily have come to India had Gandhi and Nehru, our top leaders then, merely wished this to happen. But they looked the other way when the fate of Lahore (75% Hindu/Sikh), Sri Nankana Sahib (as holy to the Sikhs as MECCA is to the Muslims!) and Kartarpur (where Guru Nanak Devji lived many years and finally left for Heaven), and the rest of India, was being discussed!
Both Gandhi and Nehru neither showed any emotional attachment to our Gurdwaras nor any loyalty towards India but felt mighty relieved and pleased having appeased the Muslims beyond their wildest expectations, and secured “Independence” for the Rest of India.
Nehru let North Kashmir stay with Pakistan so he could cry "Kashmir Bachaao!" to fool the Hindus whose attention was focused on North Kashmir but NOT on Sindh or East Bengal! Nehru's psychological trick worked and saved his own skin. Despite this fact the NATIVES, whose awareness of PARTITION was, and is, at the level of cattle, call Nehru the "architect" of modern India." None recalls his High Treason in surrendering one third of India to All-India Muslim League unconditionally and without consulting the people, i.e., demanding referendum!
The fraud and deception called “Partition” must be challenged by the PEOPLE of India.
Pakistan, as an Islamic State within secular India is an illegal State, is an affront to India’s image. It can become legal only if certain conditions are imposed, the main being complete transfer of populations. After capturing their “homeland” all the Muslims were supposed to leave for Pakistan and none should have been seen in Partitioned India especially when Hindus and Sikhs of Pakistan were killed & robbed, or forced to flee in all directions for safety. Countless girls and women were snatched from families and were killed or raped and converted. India has yet to honour their memory in a suitable manner.
How tragic, that the proud and martial Sikhs, who established their own sovereign Kingdom and took the frontier to Khyber Pass, have to thank Pakistan for allowing access to the holy shrine in Kartarpur- all because cowardly "Gandhian" India “died” in 1947 and the Sikhs (as well as the Hindus) were shamelessly betrayed by Gandhi and Nehru and subjected to slaughter and degradation in Pakistan.
Now cast your mind back to 1918-1925. First World War had ended and HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Sikh soldiers were returning to India, having fought bravely for the Empire and suffered heavy loss of life and limb. They could not be allowed to stay unemployed or roam freely in towns and cities. They were bound to join the movement to drive the British out of India.
A solution had to be found to keep them busy! There was vast land, uninhabited marshland, North East of Multan where a new town called LYALLPUR was built. The British granted ownership of acres upon acres of that barren land around Lyallpur to the "demobbed" Sikh soldiers who worked hard to grow wheat and corn. They set up farms and produced wealth and prosperity in a short time.
In 1947 the flourishing fields around Lyallpur were suddenly surrendered to Mohammed Ali Jinnah by Gandhi and Nehru, and the Sikh farmers and their families were WIPED OUT. Government of India has yet to apologise to the descendants of those Sikh farmers of Lyallpur and Montgomery (now under different names) for betraying them at Partition. But one should have seen the gratitude of the Sikh farmers who thanked the Imperial masters profusely for the allotment of lands.
NOT ONE NATIVE LEADER CRIED OUT, "THESE LANDS ARE OUR OWN. THE BRITISH MASTERS ARE NOT GIVING YOU AN INCH OF ENGLAND!"
Today, I feel like crying out, "SHAME ON YOU ALL FOR MERELY CELEBRATING FREE ACCESS TO ONE TOWN OCCUPIED BY THE ENEMY WHEN YOU OUGHT TO HAVE FOUGHT FIERCELY TO KEEP THE FRONTIER AT KHYBER PASS THAT GANDHI AND NEHRU SURRENDERED IN 1947 WHEN THEY GOT YOU "INDEPENDENCE"!
Finally, Thanks to the separatist, intolerant, anti Kafir followers of Mohammed of Arabia, our West Punjab is plunged in spiritual and intellectual DARKNESS while the rest of the world is brightly illuminated by more than one Avataar of Almighty who was born in Hindusthan, Guru Nanak Dev being the last when “mitti dhund, jag chaanan hoya!”
When sense prevails and their eyes open, the Pakistanis, descendants of Hindu fathers, too, will come to Sri Nankana Sahib for pilgrimage instead of flying off to Mecca where no one speaks their language nor treats them with respect. (Please read “Islam, Arab Imperialism” by Anwar Shaikh).
