ROTTEN CIVIC DISCIPLINE

Date: 29/06/2013

This is only one of so many indeed thousands of incidents all over the country mostly not reported or pushed under the carpet. In UP no such cases involving Samajwadi Party will ever be reported . Instead such goondas will get party recognition. There is total anarchy in society as we are abandoned to life of moral disorder, society shredded , directionless , each let loose to fend for himself in sea of predators their variety befitting our mosaic ‘unity in diversity’ .

BHOPAL: Five youths including Maharashtra Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) Minister Nitin Raut's son Kunal were arrested by the Hoshangabad district police in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday and sent to jail on alleged charges of intimidating and assaulting four persons including an on-duty government officer.

The accused Kunal Raut, 23, Sangeet Singh, 23, Swapnil, 22 and Navjot, 23 - all residents of Nagpur, were arrested by Pipariya police station under section 294, 323, 506, 34, 353, 332 of IPC and produced before the local court. Their bail pleas were rejected and sent to judicial remand, said sources.

According to station house officer (SHO) K P S Chaudhary, the accused - on way to Pachmari in a Toyota Fortunner - landed into an argument with the employees of toll booth near Denva River bridge payment of toll.

When the SUV was stopped at the toll gate, the booth employees asked for toll money. But a youth who claimed to be minister's son got down from the vehicle and denied to give the money, said sources. This led to an altercation between those came in the SUV and the booth employees.

All those who came in the car got down from the vehicle and started assaulting the two toll booth employees.

Meanwhile, when forest guards and rangers at the check post near toll booth intervened, they too were thrashed by the minister's son and his group, it's alleged. The accused left the place after a 30-minute ruckus.

Two separate complaints - by toll booth employee Babulal Rajawat and deputy ranger Ezaz Ahamad - were lodged against the accused with Pipariya police along with their vehicle registration number (MH 40 R 9).

They were arrested near Pipariya while returning from Pachmari on Saturday morning. "Knowing that there was on a singly way to return, we deployed our constables at the same booth and arrested them," said the SHO. The officer pleaded ignorance on relation between the Maharashtra and one of the accused.

"He didn't inform that he was a minister's son ...anyways we are not bothered our action was followed by two complaints against them," SHO added. During interrogation Kunal maintained that he was a businessman from Nagpur and had no relationships with any minister.

Kunal, who is currently General Secretary of Maharashtra Youth Congress is also a trained commercial pilot and assists his father in his political career.

Earlier in 2012 Kunal and his friends were bashed by a mob in Nagpur after they bashed up an engineering student over a parking issue at Ram Nagar area under Ambazari police station.

The student was bashed up by Kunal and his group after he asked them to clear the road that was blocked by wrong parking made by the accused and two others. They dragged the engineering student out of his car and bashed him up. Seeing the incident, some passers-by rushed to student's aid. They thrashed up Kunal and his group after the latters abused them.
